You need an Inner Line Permit. Arunachal Pradesh requires an ILP for all Indian visitors. Apply through the official state e-ILP portal before travelling — no permit, no entry. Verify current fees and processing times on the official portal.

Book early — genuinely. Ziro is a small valley, and both the walking-distance camp inventory and the good village homestays are finite in a very literal way.
